I'm doing the same thing Tighed is to remove my belt and it works like a charm. I found that positioning the wrench so your pushing across to release the belt helps it from not loosening up, if you push down it tends to loosen every time. I used it to install the Tighed belt wrap kit coupled with my smaller supercharger pulley and 178 set up and it worked quite well so it should be able to work fine with the 185 install also.

tried this. it works a little. but it will be impossible to generate enough slack slack in the belt to install the 185....i've tried.
