Push button start
yesterday I was at the Dodge dealership and saw a Viper and a Challenger SRT on the floor, and of course both had the pushbutton start, no key that I could see. So I went to the service bay and asked if their stock push button start could be made to be installed in the Cross, thinking that this rather expensive upgrade could be the answer to the sticky key situation many of us have experienced.
the service guy said no, and even regular Challengers w/ a regular key could not be converted, so maybe check with the MB folks, because that's what you have.
But I figured that sombody here might know better than most of those guys. if it ain't in the book, they don't do it. Other than the security issue, I can't believe that it is rocket science, basically just wires to the starting system and to the sensors for the dashlight up. The security thing may be a real PITA, but other than that I can't believe it'd be that hard if they have remote starters you can add on.
Question 2) Anybody figure out a way to keep the water off the wipers from flowing back into the cracked open window on a rainy day? We have no drip rail, so the water just rolls off the roof and into the car. That's annoying.
