Re: Lifetime Warranty
I paid $1445 for the Maximum Care 7/60 w/$100 deductible for my roadster. Currently at 4.5 years and 33k miles with no problems, other than a TPMS sensor. Before the warranty runs out I may pay the $100 to get it fixed, but I was waiting to compile several issues. Otherwise, I consider it money wasted.
Now, paying $2000 for a lifetime that covers powertrain, a/c, etc may be a good deal unless it is based on Chrysler's lifetime, not yours. I have no plans on selling my roadster and often keep cars 10+ years (in fact, I have a 32 year old Goldwing motorcycle that looks almost new). My 03 Audi A6 2.7T is at 144k miles and still running and looking great.
Final thought on warranties; you wreck the car and you are SOL.
