Default Lifetime Warranty

I Recently Bought My 2007 Silver Crossfire Limited, Brand New At Monroe Dodge In Michigan For $18600.00 And Added The Lifetime Premium Warranty For Another 2000.00, Paid Too Much For That, What Is Anyones Thoughts About The Lifetime Warranty. Seems Like It Covers Everything But Tires And Brakes, Rotors, Belts Is There Anything Else I Should Worry About.

2,000 for a lifetime warranty is a good deal. I just bought a 2009 jeep laredo and they wanted to charge me over 3K.

If you're 30 it's a great deal, if you're 90....probably not.

Don't forget that to keep the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty in effect you have to take it in for the free inspection within 30 (or is it 60) days of the 5th, 10th, 15th, etc. anniversary dates.

Hell ya its worth it! I've got a 70/70k warranty thats about to end next July. I paid about $1200 for mine, and the dealer has probably spent 4 or 5 times that amount with labor, parts and about 3 months of rental car fees!

I didn't even know that there was a lifetime warranty available. Can you upgrade a MAX warranty to a lifetime?

I paid $1445 for the Maximum Care 7/60 w/$100 deductible for my roadster. Currently at 4.5 years and 33k miles with no problems, other than a TPMS sensor. Before the warranty runs out I may pay the $100 to get it fixed, but I was waiting to compile several issues. Otherwise, I consider it money wasted.

Now, paying $2000 for a lifetime that covers powertrain, a/c, etc may be a good deal unless it is based on Chrysler's lifetime, not yours. I have no plans on selling my roadster and often keep cars 10+ years (in fact, I have a 32 year old Goldwing motorcycle that looks almost new). My 03 Audi A6 2.7T is at 144k miles and still running and looking great.

Final thought on warranties; you wreck the car and you are SOL.
