You are right , of course, to suggest the SRT for $17K. Sadly,not that many around for sale, much less at that price. Consider, there are on 3,000 or so SRT's to begin with. And the atrition rate is high. I suspect they will bottom out at the $15K-$17 range very soon and are currently there because of the economy.
Here's the rub;
There are some 67,000 NA's out there and many are a bargain under $10K.
Then these two points;
1) there is a limit to the number of SRTs and they are a very complicated engine. In contrast, the turbo is simple and lasts longer.
2) you still can't get an SRT with a manual tranny.
I believe the auto stick is the same on the SRT as the NA.
The potential for the turbo is very high in HP, Torque and it is a simpler, more reliable system.
I have too much going on right now. Got to hold back some cash for when the cr@p hits the ventilator. Or to take advantage of an opportunity for the company. Currently, the banks won't loan it, so one has to work with their own cash.
Otherwise, I would find an 04' coupe, 6 spd, and give it to Eurocharged with instructions to call me when they get 350HP out of it or hit $ 17K total on the project (car and Mods) budget.

BTW, it would have to be Aero Blue 'cause they are the fastest.
