I'd like to have stock srt6 power in my n/a crossfire. If I didn't insist upon owning cars with a manual transmission, I'd probably be driving an SRT6 right now.
hell, my bad. i thought you were talking about replacing the blower on an SRT-6 for a centrifugal...not putting it on an N/A. my apologies.
I think the one ChuckNorris put on his was centrifugal...wait, no it wasn't it was an eaton. nevermind.

First, to answer gold wig's question, Turbos are historicaly more reliable, longer milage than an SC. My truck is at 240K no turbo issue. Most OTR trucks are tuboed, they go 500K to 1000K.
All Euro ; We could rehash the belt drive parasite drive over the Turbo again. But suffice it to say that pulling the charger with a belt sacrifices HP to get HP, some 30%. The turbo system uses the exhaust back pressure you already have (and need) to create boost. There are fewer moving parts in the turbo system and you won't be sacrificing small pulleys running with an overtightened belt to get more boost.
There is more than one way to pump oil thru it. You do not have to use oil from the engine. A separate oil cooler and pump should allow for proper lubrication and long life.
Finally, there is the capability of the NA engine components. You will have to dump much of the boost you stole the power from the engine for or you will blow the engine. Turbo's are much more forgiving and you are dumping power you basicaly got for free.
The biggest advantage o the SC is the instant power. Turbos have a lag in the acceleration curve. However, since most people who would be interested in this concept are manual shifters who can just spool their engines up to get the boost.
