SRT6 Just Arrived
For those of you who followed my earlier threads, I ordered my Crossfire in Sept. 2003 and did not receive it until April 2004. At the time I ordered it, I asked the dealer if they were going to introduce the car in a convertible, and they said no, not to their knowledge.
A month before my car arrived, I read an article announcing the roadster and was pissed that the dealer had such little information about the product line that I almost cancelled my order and bought an Acura NSX and was eyeing a 2003 Lotus Esprit dual turbo.
Before I picked-up the Crossfire, I again grilled the dealer about whether they were going to introduce another version of the car, perhaps with a larger engine, and again the answer was no, not to their knowledge.
About a month after I took delivery of my current Crossfire, I read an article in Road and Track announcing that the SRT6 was going to be delivered in July. Again, I was pissed. So, I ordered a black SRT6 and wanted one just like my Limited Edition, 6spd manual, grey / cedar interior, but again the dealer said "NO, NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE". So I ordered a black / grey /auto which was supposed to arrive in late August.
Well, today is January 21st 2005 and the dealer just called me and said that the car has arrived and you can come in anytime and pick it up.
So this weekend, I'm going to Power Chrysler in Valencia, CA to look at the car, take it for a test drive that will make the sales rep. **** his pants when
I throw my crash helmet on and then ask him if the interior is ever going to come in grey / cedar and the car is ever going to have a manual transmission.
When he says "No, not to my knowledge", I'm going to pop my helmet on my head, turn off the annoying ETC and take this little sleaze bag for the test ride of his life.
When we get back to the dealership with his knuckles white and pants wet, and he asks me if I want this car too, or trade mine in, I'll just have to reply, "NO, NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE".
PS: I'll post pictures.
