I just got my SRT6 a little while ago. I have about 10 days left on the 3/36 factory warranty, so I will probably bring it in tomorrow to get it checked out, but I figured I'd ask you all here about what seems like a problem.

When I have the car in drive, and I push the D- twice, sometimes it goes to "1" but most often it only goes to "2" ... I read in the owner's manual that hitting it twice to the left is supposed to drop it into the lowest gear possible without it passing redline.

When it is in "2" and I tap the D- once, it will often flash to "1" then go back to "2". If I'm driving slowly, and want to accelerate, it does the same thing (often only drops to "2" whether I try to manually drop it to "1" or just floor it).

Does this sound like a transmission problem, or some kind of switch is working correctly, or what? I assume it's not supposed to do that.

Oh yeah, the car is in "S" mode ... I think I read in the owner's manual that in "W" mode it starts out in 2nd gear. I don't know if in "W" mode it actually prevents you from running in 1st gear if you try to downshift though. Anyone know?
