In preparation for the Texas Motor Speedway GTG on the 26th

, I decided it was time to get the Crossfire some new shoes. It is a Roadster and had the original Conti's. The car has 33K miles and the fronts still had 5/32 and the rears were at 3/32. I hate to replace tires two at a time, so I priced tires and decided on the General Exclaim UHP. I checked Tire Rack but I bought them at Sears with
Lifetime Balance for $766.81. Paid a little more, but the Lifetime Balance and the convenience of Sears Tire Stores made it worth the few extra dollars. They also did an alignment for $69.99 and corrected front and rear toe-in.
Before changing the tires, the car had a balance problem. At about 80mph you could feel a
slight vibration in the car. I suspect that a weight had fallen off one (or more) of the wheels at one time or another. Get over 85 and it would smooth out a little. Now, the car drives like a dream!!!! All speeds seem like glass! We should be able to handle TMS now!
I went with the stock size up front and the 275/30/zr19 on the rear.
