Well, our cars do attract attention...I would not take it as wasting your time if a cop admires your car and isn't out for blood so to speak. I would make friends first, not ememies of the police....sorry you got searched, must be the area you live in...there are hot spots around here they do that as well, but usually with a dog, so not to waste everyone's time...so, from an old cop of 30+ yrs, do this...stop by their barracks or post, whatever it is called in NY, talk to a supervisor, usually a Lt or Capt...and tell him or her your complaint...calling will never do you any good...just make sure you have a clean record, and be polite...superviors take their jobs seriously, and if you think you are being harassed, they will look into it. But our car attract attn...and look fast, hell they are fast....good luck...
