I've never gotten a ticket for something I didn't do. However I did get a ticket that really made me angry. After driving all night through Arizona and New Mexico and finally reaching Texas I just got fed up with people that refused to dim their lights to oncoming traffic. Not that I saw many cars out there until a few hours outside of Houston. I decided that the next car that wouldn't switch to low beams and blinded me would get my high beams so they could see how pleasant it was. I flashed this car with really bright lights and he ignored me so I put my high beams on and left them there. We'll, that car crossed the median and put on his lights. Texas State Trooper. I told him I was the only person in Texas that night that had dimmed his lights including State Troopers. Then he told me that Texas had no agreement with Tennessee and he gave me the choice of a ticket or night in jail. I took the ticket for not dimming my lights. He just told me to drive safe and the helicopter would be watching me and his buddy's had been told I was coming there way. I kept my mouth shut, paid the ticket but have been bad mouthing Texas State Troopers for 20 years and won't stop till I die.
