I thought the only major defect with my 2006 Crossfire I bought a week ago was the headlight lenses. They are so nasty, yellow and pitted the lenses almost look sandblasted. Well I bought a headlight lens restoration kit from 3M and plan on using it tomorrow. I used one on my PT GT which had terrible headlight lenses and the kit made them look brand new again.
Well I was driving into the sun last night and holy cow, my windshield is SO PITTED. There are hundreds of little pits in my windshield that look awful when driving into the sun.
Is this common? The car has a clean carfax, appears to have almost flawless original paint, yet the headlight lenses and windshield make it appear that the previous owner drove behind a sand or gravel truck 24/7 .
Is there anything a glass shop or I can do to fix the pits in the windshield or should I just replace it?
I will let you know how the 3M kit works on our headlight lenses. I will try and take before and after pictures.
