i am trying to research the phenolic spacer. it seems there are spacers for the underside of the s/c and spacers for the mani's. some cost 40$ and need 2 sets of cork gaskets 40$ and some are 349$ ! i have read of good inc. from the topside phenolics and heard the bottoms can toast an engine
so i turn to the pros here. teach me of what the purpose is and the upsides and down.
