The army post I work on was hosting a bike race and they sent a crew out to clean up the roads. I work in a remote area of the post and there's plenty of cleaning up required on the roads out here.
Anyway we see the street sweeper, the guys with brooms, shovels cleaning up. Then one of my coworkers tells me to look outside to see what they are doing to my car.
Some idiot with a leaf blower is blowing the (fine) dust/dirt directly AT my car! He was literally inches away at times. Not blowing the dirt/dust away from the car but AT it!!! WTF! Now I'm a VERY easy going person but I just had to go out and talk to this bozo. Went up asked him who was in charge, he said he was! I then basically asked him WTF he was doing. He told me about the bike race not even thinking that I was asking what he was doing to my car!!!
I had him call his boss. His boss came out and I had him call his boss! The big boss came out and they all suggested that they just use the leaf blower to blow the dust off of the car!???
They asked me what I wanted them to do and I said that I wanted the car detailed. Gave them my information and about a week later I got the check for $100.
I can only imagine that the guy would of done the exact same thing if I had my roadster there with the top down.
Ok I feel a bit better now!
