Re: At the track...
f/a? let me know what you need and i will see what i have. i datalog all the time lol. the runs above show with and without meth.
i dataloged through several tanks of meth this summer on a 95 to 98 degree day with high humidity and seen an average of 35 to 40 degree cooler IAT temps and for some reason my ect is always a few degrees cooler as well when i use it which is weird. i was testing which nozzle was the best balance of cooling while having the lest effect on a/f ratio. the 3gph had minimal effect on a/f ratio but only cooled the IAT by an average of 15 or so degrees. The 6gph cools an average of 35 to 40 degrees but the a/f ratio is about .9:1 richer (example 12.5:1 to 11.6:1). I think that a 5gph nozzle would be the best but i never got around to ordering one. That was using the nitro/meth/water mix, if i was using only water/meth i would have seen better cooling results since the nitromethane runs a little hotter. The 1/8 mile track results i posted earlier was only using water/meth 50/50 because i only have 1 quart of nitromethane/methanol left and i want to save it for the 1/4 mile track when i go in a week or so.
on my old supercharged tiburon i was able to run 3psi more than what was considered safe on a stock block by using meth for cooling. in fact the car is still running great with 65,000 out of 90,000 aftermarket supercharged miles on it.
The runs i posted show the mph in the first column. it actually shows the timing and kpa but i cut that off for the screen capture or it would have been to big to post on here.
