Matt and I are here with the new "Jerry" tune and all I can say is the car is an animal down low. 1.71 60ft! my personal best on streets. I had to lift due to real conditions lean going down the track. The good part is the car ran an 12.20@97 lifting! We just added more fuel more to come!

It's the low DA and cool air causing the leaning on top of your leaning before. Add plenty of fuel, it's better to be rich than lean especially in those conditions. Try to make pass and shift manually once afr's hit the 13's, see what you run.

Lots of issues getting the needed fuel tonight, but we did make progress so that is a good thing. Jerry couldn't believe it needed all the fuel it did. My last pass of the night I came out really soft as I couldn't hook worth a damn. 1.89 60ft and a 12.21@114.15. The car was actually a little rich 11.0 most of the run. It did lean out again at the top of 3rd, but it was better @ 14-15 instead of 17! We didnt get to make another pass, but we are getting there. Hopefully next time out we'll get it dialed in. We are moving in the right direction.

Glad to hear things are starting to go the right way.
Just how BAD was that fuel filter? Think it had an impact?

Good to hear your getting there. It had to be tough to tune in that air. The good and bad with having low DA. Your just one of the few that datalog otherwise we would see that it's more common. The only other person in the 11's with low DA is MDSRT6. Next time out I suggest going near empty and use 108 or 109 octane fuel depending what brand is available and see if the extra octane helps out. I have a feeling our motor needs that in thin air. I will test this theory someday when I travel in search of negative DA.

Well just to add a bit to chris's posts...

the night was just a bit too cold for good hookups on street tires... low 50s for most of the night. Good DA, but really needed some DRs...

I won't talk much about my runs... I spun horribly all night...even ended up smoking the tires out of the hole... nothing was going well. the highlight of the night for me would have had to have been my reaction time for most of the night. I had a .001 RT and a .025 RT . Which for me was fantastic...I blame it all on luck not skill, though my skill is definitely getting better thanks to some good tutiledge by Chris.

It was tough to tune, but like a small adventure since we didn't have conventional internet at the track.

It went from on the phone with Jerry, Jerry modifying the file, sending it my blackberry, saving the file on m blackberry, transferring to my laptop, then finally being able to write to the ECU... somehow we still managed to put a new tune on inbetween each run in the bracket race.

Chris and I will be doing more tuning in the next couple weeks (aka as soon as we can find time that both of us are free) and it will most likely be on a dyno so we can dial the car in right. We are hoping to make it to the track after the tune is dialed in, but the weather may not be on our side.

On a sour note, I threw a CEL on the way home and am not sure why... I will have to look into it sometime tomorrow. Maybe I finally just hit the torque limiter ...

That's all for now.

Wow you almost hit the holy grail .000 of reaction times. That's great. I've hit it twice, the most recent a couple of weeks back qualifying at the et finals.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty pumped about it... I was running against a guy who was a bit quicker than me... my light started to go and he jumped, and it threw me off so I went... turns out it was just right.

The .025 was the same, but worse. I was against a guy dialed in a 9.65...He left the tree before I did... I was REALLY thrown off by that. He didn't even get a -. Reaction time...they just handed him the LB3A. haha.

Yea I was pumped over mine. It's pretty rare and lucky. This past weekend I lost in the semi finals breaking out by -.0003 that's 3 ten thousandths of a second. I went a 12.3097 on a 12.31 dial. They should just round up when it's that close. Really how are the clocks so accurate. Here's a pic of my timeslip.

I don't think it did as the car acted the same exact way it did before hand. I just wanted to rule out that it was in fact the filter. Jerry did say it is possible that I have clogged injector/injectors so I'm going to have my brother clean them at his shop.
