correction, 2000ft worse than last time. About to go into first round. We are paired up. I have a slower camaro going 15.4's so I'll be coming up on her quick! LOL also spoke with a few racers and asked how much slower they are from when I raced last. Most are about a tenth and a half slower. If it holds true to my car, that would put me close to 12'0's. Were gettin there!

well that was quick! Just lost car sowed up a tenth! Dont know why it was that much slower, but I could definately feel it going down the track. Went 12.409@111.29. We both missed the tree too. Lol, I'm going to try and make another time shot a little later, but I'm a little dissapointed 60ft actually picked up to a 1.769 that run, but by 1/8 mile I was 7 hundreths sower which is a lot.

I put that torco accelerator octane boost in with a half tank of gas. I'm wondering if that is screwing me up.

My DA last night was 2800 feet and I was ******* it bad in qualifying. I ran 13.14, and 13.09 in qualifying. Then broke out in the 1st round with a 12.90. It was about 6 degrees in difference from qualifying. I ran 2 more after for testing and went 12.87 and 12.86, so mine gets faster as it cools off. Just enjoy your track elevation regardless if you DA is bad, my best DA will never even get close to yours. Most of us will have to have nitrous to hit what your doing on a regular basis. My fastest was a 12.52 in the winter and there may be just a bit more in her, but 12.20 is going to be very hard at my track without spray.

By the way you don't need drag radials if your pulling those 60' times. You have quicker 60' than I've ever had with my dr's. I think you might be the quickest 60 footer on streets.

Yeah, the 60ft's I have down pretty good. I was expecting more from the tune, but it is too early to tell. Could have been weather and also, like I stated, I put that octane boost in the car with a half tank of gas. The problem was I bought it on clearance for $5 because it had a leaking cap and about a 1/3 was missing from the can. This was a BIG mistake! As I was pouring it in the tank, towards the end I see chunks of what looked like rust!! In fact it was rust......Looked like there was water in there as well......I never did get another time run, but im planning on going tuesday again.

Could be or just the DA was higher that night. When I get my tune after summer, a waste right now with the high temps, I expect at least 2 tenths off my time or I won't be satisfied. That's giving alot since my intake gave me 5 tenths. My 178mm only gave me 2 tenths, but I didn't get the really good weather to let the ecu adjust to it. So I expect another tenth from it this winter. If I can hit a 12.2 at my home track, I'll be plenty satisified. That will mean I can run an 11 at a sea level track. Did you get the tune where you can install different tunes? Like a cool weather tune on one chip, and your stock tune on another chip? If I do decide to get it this summer I'm definately going this route, that way if I have to take it in I'll just put the stock tune chip in and hope they don't open the ecu.

I hear ya! Seems only me, Rob and Jeff are consistantly in the 1.7's. Not sure what the deal is with that. I'm on streets and I believe they are both running slicks. Rob and Jeff's trap MPH's are much better than mine though because of their mods......

Almost. What rpm are you launching at? Us with the DR's can go much higher than 2500 or the DR's push the car through the beams.

That was around 1700-1800rpm. I can't go much higher than that now or it starts spinning tire on the line. I believe that was a 1.78 60ft. And a 12.25@112 pass. Damn, if I could launch at 2500, I might break into the 1.6's haha. Could only wish......

There are others who consistantly trap 1.7's.

Oops,
Sorry man! I never actually knew what your 60's were. I knew your times though. You and I would have a hella heads up race. probably come down to a few thou at the finishline if we were both equal on the tree. You best be double OH OH OH though!!

Tune in tonight! The weather is absolutely georgous here so im going to go do some racin! The only thing different on my car now from last time out is the "grille mod", phenolic spacers and 1 step colder plugs gapped to .035. Car seems to be running smoother and snappier off the launch. We'll see!
