Good luck Woody!!!

The problem here is that without extensive research in to how the stock ECU handles errors it would be impossible to know if this would work. The last thing you want is for the ECU to go in to limp mode because the TB is ~10% from where the ECU thinks it should be.For example, say you have the throttle 20% down and the TB is 20% open. Then, you go WOT and the throttle cable instantly whips the Tb 100% of the way open, but your ECU is looking for it to be at 20% still (while it is processing the inputs). Because the ECU is expecting a 20% input, but it is seeing a 100% input, the ECU may go to limp mode.Another possible issue here is if the stock Tb isn't a 1:1 ratio. Say there is some economy programmed in and at 50% throttle stock the ECU only opens the Tb 35%. Well, when you go with a cable and are at 50% throttle your Tb is at 50%, 15% away from the target. Again, this could cause limp mode. These are just a few possible hiccups you will most likely encounter if you try to turn the electronic throttle body in to a mechanical one.The "best" case situation would involve an actual stand alone system that interaces with the OEM ECU to not only control the Tb but to please the ECU at the same time.
