Re: Where to buy coolant?
All your answers are here;
Valvoline.com > Products > Zerex > Antifreeze Zerex > Zerex G-05® Antifreeze / Coolant
You need 1.5 gallons of zerex G-05 and 1.5 gallons of distilled water.
or
3 gallons of Zerex G-05 pre-mixed.
In the absence of distilled water de-mineralized water may be used. Distilled water is recommended. Zerex G-05 is a yellow color.
The following .pdf shows the breakdown of manufacturers and the specific coolant requirement for model years.
http://www.valvoline.com/pdf/Zerex_CoolantChart.pdf
Basically it shows that your 2000 Chrysler needs a different coolant than your 2001 and up Chrysler etc. or you 1998 Mazda.
Coolant colors are green, orange and yellow (all model years of Xfires) DO NOT MIX THEM TOGETHER.
From the Shop Manual;
ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM
CAUTION: The cooling system is designed to function with a 50/50 mixture of Mopar
T Antifreeze/Coolant, 5
Year/100,000 Mile Formula (MS-9769) or equivalent, and distilled water. Higher concentrations may result in
poor cooling performance and premature water pump seal failure. This antifreeze/coolant may not be mixed
or substituted with any other type.
