It locked itself down because it knew you were in the car. You didn't get out and open the door (it has a sensor on the door). It thought you wanted to sit in the car parked with the doors locked.
The locking system of this car is very simple and smart. Not sure why nobody can understand it. I had trouble myself but figured it all out.
Try doing this... get out of your car and close the door. Hit the lock button. Then unlock it but DON'T open the door. I bet the car locks itself back down because it knew nobody opened the door.
Try locking the car with the door open. The pin on the door will only go down halfway. The door may look locked but it isn't.
