Self-locking doors

Interesting, but bottom line is that I will make sure both keys are not in the car at the same time!!!!
I am just telling you that I thought my car was self locking about a year ago. It drove me crazy until the dealer explained how everything worked. Sometimes you do things a certain way and don't remember (that was the case with me). I had no idea what I was doing... all I knew was that my door kept locking on me and I didn't know why. Now that I understand the system and how it works... everything is ok.
The car knows if you open the door! If the car is locked and you unlock it but don't open the door, it will relock itself. Remember that!
I did a search and could not find anything on what's happening. Sorry to raise an old thread but I've got a lock question. When i used to push the unlock button once on my 2005 LTD, it would only unlock the driver's door leaving the passenger door and trunk locked. I could push it again to unlock the passenger and trunk locks. For some reason it now unlocks everything with 1 push. I like the old way better. Is there a way to switch this back or did something just change with the car?

Press and hold both buttons on the key remote until the light (red lens at top of key fob) blinks twice. Now when you press the open button both doors and trunk will open with one push instead of two!
Repeat procedure to go back to two presses to open passenger door and trunk (why??)
This is a feature on my PT Cruiser. Not sure if the Crossfire has anything like this, I tried scanning the owners manual, but couldn't find a simular reference. Might try a combination like this and see what happens, hope this helps.

Central Locking/Unlocking — If Equipped
All vehicle doors and liftgate are locked with the first
turn of the key to the LOCK position. The double unlock
activation feature requires you to turn the key in the
cylinder lock two times within five seconds to UNLOCK
all vehicle doors and liftgate at once. You may turn this
feature off and unlock all the doors and liftgate with one
turn of the key by following these instructions.

NOTE:
Steps 2 and 3 must be completed within 10

1. Close all doors and place the key in the ignition
switch.
2. Cycle the ignition switch ON/OFF four times ending
in the OFF position.
3. Press the interior door lock switch to the UNLOCK

4. A single chime will sound to signify that you have

Figured as much, Tighed1 would know something like this. Went and programed both of my remotes to do this. Thanks for bringing up an old thread, learned something new about the Crossfire, again.
