Rob M that is great. It says it right there in the middle The deputy, Jason Campbell, was disciplined for violating department policy by speeding, Giddens said. Campbell was not answering a call at the time and did not have his lights flashing as is required when an officer is exceeding the speed limit in the line of duty. Also if a cop is not required to have his or her lights on while above the speed limit aren't the doing the exact same thing that any other person above the speed limit is doing. Speeding is against the law and a cop that is going above the posted speedlimit with no lights is SPEEDING.
