I always find it amazing when people find out that the neighbor who volunteers to help others, donates their off duty time and/or are the pillar of the community is a cop. For many, they suddenly turn against the neighbor and express all the same prejudices and behaviors they find abhorrent in some police officers!

Grow up! There are good and bad cops, businessmen, teachers, soldiers, judges, doctors, tradesmen, etc. Don't hold a grudge against any group but make sure individuals who don't meet their own professional standards are held accountable! That also means that when you don't meet your own professions standards you should be held accountable!

It was amazing on 12 September 2001, I didn't see one person on TV who said that all those cops who died in the Trade Towers deserved it because they were cops - face it, it is easy to hate law enforcement until you need them!
