Default Re: Problem with law enforcement!!!

HAAA!!!!!
Thats great, you smile when a cop dies huh. I would like to shed some light on my, a simple cop of 14 years, feelings of this. I consider myself one of the lucky cops as I work for the federal government and make more than many in my state. Ole doc, 911, myself, and others spend countless hours away from our families so that others can live safely. We work nights for months on end opposite the sleep schedule of our family. We put our life on the line so when your mother is being raped and your dad is being beaten they have somebody that will come and help them when all the others run away, all for under 40k a year. Some in this state start at 8 bucks an hour. Why do we do this you wonder?? Power you say? You need a constitutional law lesson sir. You, the everyday citizen, has more power to wield in this great land than I the cop. I need probable cause and reasonable suspicion, you need less than I to make an arrest. Remember you too have that right. Now as it comes to a cop being killed in the line of duty ask Deputy Brian S. Etheridge's family what they think of your thoughts. He was murdered protecting his community responding to a larceny call on Sept 28, 2009. He will never have the chance to live life to its fullest all to protect and serve his community. To your previous statements I challenge you sir. There are good and bad cops, many grow cynical to the public from years of time on the job. My challenge to you is before you come in a bad mouth us, put on a vest and a badge, strap your gun on and show us what a good cop should be. Go through the joys of lie detector tests and background exams. Come and show us how much intestinal fortitude you've really got. Time to man up now. RIP Officer Etheridge, my prayers are with you and your family. End of Watch 9-28-2009
