I hope that when somebody checks this, you get it treated with rust inhibitor for future because this can be serious as you have seen from an earlier post. Even a little sign of rust in this area indicates that moisture is being trapped under the rubber. It is a vulnerable area for rust damage. Many readers of this thread have checked the area themselves and then treated the problem to avoid future damage.
Your body man is taking a very 'uninterested' view about this............bigger 'fish to fry', I guess.
I happened to be there getting something done so I asked him to take a look at it. I considered checking it out myself... then decided it wasn't worth it. A lot of other things will rust underneath the car first before my door falls apart. That is just the way I feel about it. And I take very good care of my car and plan on keeping it for a long time.
