This is not true. There is more disinformation on this board than I care to comment on. Read the shop manual that a fellow posted and one can disable the wing. No light, full speed and the handling is just fine all the way to the limiter. Car looks cool with no wing. When its up it makes the car look like some cap sideways, rice rocket, trunk winged idiot.
