The salesman told me that a new key would have to come from Germany and would cost about $400!! Holy crap!!
However after looking at the key I think that it could be traced and cut on a milling machine. The small drive pin would have to pushed out to remove the actual key from the plastic case.
This is project that my machinist next door neighbor and I need to get around to.
