That is not as simple as you think. Inside the key is a special chip that work together with the lock on you steering wheel and with the car head unit too. Only if the key has the right chip with the right code on it then the key will work on your car. No other key work. Every key is made in Germany to your VIN # and that is why it is so much money. BUT 400 bugs are toooooooo expansive. Here in Germany those keys cost around 120-200 bugs.
