Talking Re: 87 Octane Fuel

I use the 93 octane because I run high boost and run wide open a lot. If I were city driving and easy the motor would not see any big deal. But what if you choose to hammer it to get out of the idiots way, your going to have less timing and power when you did not expect it.

I was adding 3% oil to my truck last year to see if the mix had any effects, and it did not and the gas prices fell below 4$ per gallon. My truck has run fine and I was using the oil instead of spending time and gas to drop it off. My truck is not for performance. The test worked but it was a test for a few months never the less and not my crossfire that I depend on for performance.

I suspect that the 10% alcohol is bad enough and the synt. fuel people wanna get that number to 30% which will be an issue in the future. Less power and higher real cost plus lower corn for food uses??

You wanted responses, heck when I added a wooden spacer to the floor dead pedal to raise it up 3" to match the brake pedal I got lots of responses, Woody
