That's not true for the na cars. The cabin filter is changed at service B and the air/fuel filters are changed every 4 years or 60k miles--that's what my owners manual said.

In relation to this thread, I just changed my cabin filter at 17500 miles. I replaced it with a Mann filter but I'm a bit disappointed buy it. The stock filter is a very stout item and the supposed OEM replacement is flimsy paper/cotton. The stock item is the exact reason I like German cars--they over engineer everything and that is demonstrated in simple items like the cabin filter.
