I did mine differently. I created a fusebox that lives underneath the passenger seat footwell carpet. The fusebox is connected through the firewall with a 50 amp fuse on the spare breakout located next to the battery. The new fusebox is then controlled with a relay connected to a wire tapped from the glove compartment light (which is only on in the accessory/ignition position.)
