Incompetent Crossfire Technicians
Just recently had my first oil change and it was an experience that I will never forget even though it was free it was somewhat of a disaster. After being specific of what I wanted done as to number one, resetting the FSS meter after the oil change was complete, that was a total nightmare. The service manager completely ignored my request and in the midst of having one of the techs come over to assess the problem he flat out tells me that the car has no such feature. I was furious at the fact that he could sit there and tell me that to my face. After a couple of drills and filtering out someone who then helped me I happen to pop the hood to see what was going on for curiosity sake and I noticed they scratched my valve cover big-time with a some sort of tool. I don't know why but they did and I requested they replace it and to my surprise they did on the spot.
I changed my oil at the 3500 mark and my FSS meter isn't reset yet, they tried numerous times with my car manual used as reference and they couldn't do it and gave me the reason that it wouldn't reset because I changed it too early. Is this true and if not can someone please help me in trying to reset the meter if possible. My only plan now was to drive till the next 3500 when it hits 7000 and have them try again and adjust my schedule to be on-point with the manual specs for oil changes, every 7000.
I do appreciate all the help and information look forward to hearing some feedback.
