Thanks for asking, but I SUSPECT you have already done the same mod, from what Jason says. I will be very descriptive for others reading this, since I think you already know what I am doing, Rudy!
I don't like the way the brains let the water jacket get too warm (what is it, 210 or 221F or something like that?) before it turns the fan on. It bugs me to see the temp needle climb in 56F weather, let alone in 90F weather.
Well.....
I read on here how the fan module has an "emergency mode". If the fan module does not see the pulses from the ECM (or is it PCM?), it "assumes" something terrible has happened and runs the fan at full speed.
So, I cut into the PWM wire at the Fan Module and ran two wires up to the console and put in a switch. In the normal setting, the switch is closed and all is normal.
When I turn the switch 'on', I am actually turning it off and opening the switch - causing the fan module to "freak out", because it loses it's pulses - and it runs the fan at full warp speed.
Sure keeps the needle from moving!!! I use this in city traffic OR if, for some reason, I want to let the engine idle a lot (which I seldom do.)
Sounds like a jet engine under there (which is what Jason said YOUR car sounded like at least once at the Dragon.

)
