Re: Ignition key won't turn
My car has been in the shop at a new dealer in Albuquerque since Friday November 27th the day after I first posted here re: key won't turn. This Friday will be three full weeks if it is still there...The car had only 10 k miles on it and nothing at all wrong...The whole dash had to be taken out to get to key cyllinder and some switch that burned out. It was oput back together this week only to now have the cluster lights not work and then a squeaky steering wheel supposedly a Clock Spring (?) that may have to be ordered.
I fell pretty defeated by all of this. Chrysler's tow-in service worked well--the car remains under warranty for all of this--my level of trust for this dealership is sliding along with wondering where I am iun the order of 'importance' to be fixed. I hope that soon I can report getting the car back and no hassles with the bill.
You'd think a loaner car or at least a free car detailing might be in the offing at this point. I fell that my 'new car' is not going to be so NEW after this 'surgery'.
Once again, if any of you are having the slightest bit of trouble turning your ignition key, have it looked at even if they say well it's not broken yet!
