Ignition key won't turn
I just bought a 2005 Crossfire and am having the same problem. Question,if I leave the key in the ignition, as one member suggested, will that solve the problem until I get time to try the fix?
Yes as long as the key is in and able to turn, you are good. Once you take it out it may or may not turn again. I kept mine in for a week while I was getting ready to fix it.
Before buying and right after buying my 2004 I reviewed this website and made the necessary things to ensure no major surprises. Ignition switch fix and RCM resoldering affordable fixes plus. Did 100k maintenance plus...oil change Mobil 1 full synthetic and filter, spark plugs and wires, brake fluid change, power steering fluid, rear end fluid change and transmission plus. anyway suggest you hit this site hard for basic fixes to major issues and enjoy with confidence an amazing ride.
My 2004 Crossfire has this problem. I took it to a shop only to have it disassembled in their lot waiting on a part. I didn't know this is a common problem. It is now stuck there and I had to get another car.
Can anyone direct me to a satisfactory solution?

.
Have car towed to a dealer.
Leave them a blank check.
Wait six months.
Get car back after paying $1400; it will run but there will be other problems (like it was damaged on the lot, or it smokes now, or the top doesn't work, or the door locks dont work...)
Or........................
Have car towed home.
Fix it yourself with what is in post 87. (Get your mechanically-inclined brother in law to help if needed.) HOPEFULLY, the 'shop' has not done damage or lost any parts.
Usually, for incompetence like that, only a dealer can mess things up - most small shops aren't all that bad.
