Have car towed to a dealer.
Leave them a blank check.
Wait six months.
Get car back after paying $1400; it will run but there will be other problems (like it was damaged on the lot, or it smokes now, or the top doesn't work, or the door locks dont work...)

Or........................
Have car towed home.
Fix it yourself with what is in post 87. (Get your mechanically-inclined brother in law to help if needed.) HOPEFULLY, the 'shop' has not done damage or lost any parts.
Usually, for incompetence like that, only a dealer can mess things up - most small shops aren't all that bad.
