There is a need for the part in BOTH cars. In the coupe, with an automatic you do need it or a very skinny screw driver if you have electrical (battery) problems. You use this tool to get it out of park. This is a problem if you need to have the car towed and have this issue. See your owners manual.

In the roadster, you need it for an automatic for the same reason as the coupe above and also to raise and lower the top manually. HCarter also was super in telling us you also need a 6 allen wrench. Hope this clears up the issue.
The Chrysler part #5140795AA could be MB parts #A 193 899 03 80 or
#A 193 899 02 80

The tool is of use mostly in the roadster for use on the top.
The auto transmissions can be unlocked from the park position and the passenger side lower front grilles can be removed to access the towing hook using a slim screwdriver if the tool is not available.
