That is the law in Michigan as well. And yes, LAW.

Well, I went to the glass shop after work. He talked to my insurance claims department on the phone... and in 45 minutes, it was repaired. The insurance lady said, "we will process your claim, but they charge more than we pay... so you may have to return to pay him the rest tomorrow".

I gave him my cell number, but he said, "They always say that about me... you owe me nothing."

His sign says: "Windsheilds replaced $185". I asked him about a new one for my car, "Well, this costs more. $200."

I said, "What about the Pilkington glass, if I want that, what is the charge?" He said, "$200... look around my shop Pilkington is all I sell."
