Re: Southern Ontario Meet Suggestion
Updated information:
I thought it would be a good idea to actually phone the museum and find out what's up and notify them of our intentions. So this is what I can tell you.
Our contact is Mary-Ann who was very helpful in answering all my questions. The museum in open from 9a.m. to 4p.m. and she has penciled our group in as attending, likely arriving aroung 1p.m. no later then 2p.m. I have told her the group would likely be around a dozen, could be more. She will assign a tour guide for us and suggests you need between 90 minutes to 2hrs to see everything, including whatever questions one may have. Their is also an adjacent Ambulance museum that is included in the admission price of $6 ea. Behind the museum is the Heritage Village who coincidently is hosting a murder mystery dinner theater that same day in the evening. Something you may want to consider if you are staying over night....
Lastly, the museum has a restaurant that closes at 2p.m.
So all we can hope for is dry weather and a number of folks attending to make this happen. I'll keep you all posted as things come together. I am encouraged by the response already, but as I mentioned in the beginning, there will be a LOT of driving.
The thought of a dozen Crossfires leaving Woodstock and heading down the #401 in a caravan, sun shining and spring in the air does leave something to desire....!
