I charged her up for an hour and that got her back to 12.57 volts; cleaned up the corrosion, sanded the bottom and inside of the negative terminal connector, reinstalled the battery and started her up. She turned over without any hesitation. It was a beautiful sound, even if it was coming from a black crossfire.

Sorry, I doubted the starter. The battery, I noticed, is almost four years old, so I'll keep an eye on that.

My battery was almost six years old when I replaced it and I never had any trouble with it. Get some of those anti corrosive washers or grease up the terminals.
My #2 post covered terminal corrosion, so stick with the guys with black Crossfires and you'll do OK.
