Default Re: 0W-40 oil discontinued

From the horses mouth.... Mobil and Esso recently merged, actually Esso bought Mobil. The Mobil 1, 0-40, is in fact discontinued in Canada and Europe. BUT it was replaced by Mobil Delvac 1, 0-40 diesel, which now has European manufacturers spec standards. The only thing is that it is not available in 1 litres but only in 4 litres jugs. I received this information from 1-800-567-ESSO (3776), and it was confirmed to me by my Chrysler dealer and the by the Lube X tech when I got my oil change yesterday. That's the oil the Chrysler dealer uses as well.

The Esso customer service lady said that the website will be updated once stocks of Mobil 1 are depleted. Apparently they have had many calls on the subject.

Good enough for me...
