Default My Days are clearer, my nights are brighter...

When I read about the headlamp lens reconditioning process, I put it on my list of things I MUST do. I bought a kit from Advanced Auto for $9.99. Made by Kit Wax, it contained 3 sand pads with two sides on #1, two sides on #2 and one pad with one side #3 and one side #4. One bottle of polishing compound and one bottle of spray lubricate to be used with the sanding pads.

My results were pleasing.

First Image is before beginning the process.

Second Image: Taped off to protect paint surfaces.

Third Image: Cleaned the lens and started process with #1 Pad and spray lubricate.

Fourth Image: Washed and wiped off, repeated again as needed in certain areas, then wiped off again followed by #2 rubbing in opposite direction, followed by #3 pad again in opposite direction and finally #4 pad (always using spray lubricate) and last using the polishing compound and buffing by hand.

Fifth Image: My final result. I also followed the process by putting a coat of wax to help protect as directed by instructions included with the kit.

Last Image: So far so good. Well see how long it last.
