dont hope for the best! do some research and match your pads to your rotors. bed the pads if needed and use brake lube for the pads. clean everything completely and you shouldnt have any issues.
the higher metal content in the pads the more squeal. look at the ceramic composite pads
the type of rotors depends on your driving style. oem rotors provide the most pad contact, slotted rotors scrape the pads cleaning them but shorten the pad life and drilled rotors cool better but tend to crack under extreme use.
