Well, because I think everybody needs to chill out a little and understand we can have opinions without having to take great personal offense. This isn't the political section after all; you know, where trading barbs is a hobby for most involved.

Now as to the parts cost etc., yes, they are going to be expensive when you consider the limited market. We have a very limited number of cars as compared to the companies that cater to larger production cars.

I'll leave this thread with only a couple more suggestions/comments.

It would be better for you to go into private negotiations with the vendors than to publicly do it or post comments the way you did; you've seen the results doing it that way.

Lastly, good luck with which ever route you go. Some have made their own with I'm sure success. If you decide to do so, by all means do so and post your pic's/vid's and any results; from what I've seen even the vendors here will give you praise.
