Many people are not willing to risk going 140 around even a slight curve, regardless of how well their car handles (or is supposed to handle). So just because you did it and the Viper didn't, doesn't mean the Viper couldn't. The guy didn't want to, or didn't know how to drive it at that speed, or both. The same goes even for straight line runs. Just because someone smoked you to 120 and then you pass him at 140 (when you think he ran out of power) doesn't mean he couldn't have kept pulling on you ... more than likely he figured he made his point, and anything further was simply risk (wrecks, cops, etc.), however slight, for no reason. The Crossfire has relatively poor aerodynamics from what I've seen, and it doesn't have gobs of power (especially n/a) so why would it pull on cars up high when it can't down low?
Based on my experience with my 2000 Camaro... it handled great and had power. Once you hit 100+ MPH it just didn't seem like it could stay up there that long. It would corner on rails and get up there pretty fast. But once I started driving the Crossfire I noticed a big difference. The Crossfire would hit 100mph and want to keep going. Almost like it enjoyed going that fast and wanted to move faster. The Camaro felt like it wanted to slow down. Didn't feel as stable at 115MPH.
