Here in the UK we also have cameras that capture speed, car, registration and a picture of the driver!

The cameras cost around £50,000 each, which easily pays for itself within a few months. The police claimed that they were being positioned at accident blackspots to reduce casualties.......the positive side of which was that they had to legalise speed camera detectors as they were, in fact, accident blackspot detectors! Good for reducing casualties right??

The most profitable £50k camera in the country is down near me at the end of the M11 motorway. It makes over a million pounds a year profit so it's obviously doing a good job then? Except casualties at that particular blackspot have doubled since they installed the camera!

Bet they don't take it away though!
