For those of you who are curious... I had a specialist listen to my car and he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. He told me that the ticking noise I am hearing is the fuel injectors, definitely not caused by a collapsed lifter.

So I guess I was just being too picky with the sound. I guess we just have loud injectors.
