Default Re: Help please on tyre choice ???

Just an up date on my latest tyre choice!

Had the Conti's Sport Contact 3's in stock sizes - brill ride and grip, but rears worn out after 12K miles.

Fitted Bridgestone Potenza RE050 275's x 35 x19 to rear wheels, very expensice tyres (£240 each), but very hard wearing, should be good for 20K miles, great grip.

Latest: Fitted new wheels and tyres:
Vertini Rims Front 19" x 8.5" fitted with 19" x 235 x 35 Falken FK452
Vertini Rims Rear 19" x 9.5" fitted with 19 x x275 x 35 Falken FK452
Tyre prices paid £100 front and £130 rear.

The Falkens ride is so quiet and firm, the grip is as good as the Conti's. These tryes are widely used in USA and have lots of great write ups. They also look great and match the wider rims perfectly. Gone are the days of paying top money just for the name on the side wall.
