I also note that there seems to be a bigger selection of tyres available in the larger size, also there are some 265's around as well. The way I am going, it looks like I'll be needing new rears durring the summer so its going to be 275's for me! The pics are great, I allways wanted a red Crossfire but coulnt find one when I was buying, so it kills me to see a nice one like yours (fancey a swap?)
Cheers, Steve
Changed my rears this weekend i chose the Pirelli Pzero Rosso 275/35/19...they fit much better than the stocks, well pleased they look huge had lots of comments already...managed to get them fitted and balanced for £380 the pair.....ill post a pic soon

I have just fitted a set of Avon ZZ3 tyres all round. They look good and seem to work fine. These were the cheapest known brand tyres I could get, about half the cost of the Continentals they replaced.

Resurrecting this post to say I am considering purchasing Nitto Invo tires for the rear. My research has convinced me the Invo is quiet, reasonably soft, and sticky. Being quiet is really important to me. I think 285/30's will be best. The 285 will give me the width plus going to a 30 will keep my rotations per mile at almost the same as the original 255/35's (i.e. 800 rotations per mile). I don't need to fill the wheel well because I lowered my SRT-6 with 1.3 inch lower springs in the rear (not the front). This leveled the car so that it no longer looks like the rear is sticking up in the air. And improved the looks. Plus, it helped with understeer. A 285 will give me more rubber to the road without going overboard with something that doesn't belong on my wheels.

No doubt you've got your tyres by now Baz.

I've never had a problem with contis on any car I've had but reading comments on here made me look at a wider field.
I did lots of review reading and decided on KUMHO KU31 ECSTA SPORT, stock sizes.
They're slightly wider lipped than the conti's so sit slightly proud of the alloy lip rather than on it.
Only done 300 miles on them so far but more than pleased with them. I will say that they feel more comfortable on our seriously bad roads and provide plenty of grip in both dry and wet.
Bought through Camskill @ 116.30 each rear and 77.00 each front, local tyre fitter charged £70 for balancing and fitting.
I'd never used an online tyre dealer before but was impressed with their service. Ordered on Tuesday night, delivered Thursday morning.

Just an up date on my latest tyre choice!

Had the Conti's Sport Contact 3's in stock sizes - brill ride and grip, but rears worn out after 12K miles.

Fitted Bridgestone Potenza RE050 275's x 35 x19 to rear wheels, very expensice tyres (£240 each), but very hard wearing, should be good for 20K miles, great grip.

Latest: Fitted new wheels and tyres:
Vertini Rims Front 19" x 8.5" fitted with 19" x 235 x 35 Falken FK452
Vertini Rims Rear 19" x 9.5" fitted with 19 x x275 x 35 Falken FK452
Tyre prices paid £100 front and £130 rear.

The Falkens ride is so quiet and firm, the grip is as good as the Conti's. These tryes are widely used in USA and have lots of great write ups. They also look great and match the wider rims perfectly. Gone are the days of paying top money just for the name on the side wall.

You're going to love your Falkens .... I put them on my SRT6 in January, and have about 1000 miles on them, and they really are quiet and handle the twistees great. And all that for almost 1/2 the price of the big boys. I really haven'
t had too much of a chance to see how they handle on rain/wet pavement yet, so maybe in UK you'll have a better chance. Let us hear!

Only done about 300 miles on the Falkens so far, and only today got the chance to put some heat into them on a 10 mile twisting country road that I know very well, and I was very very pleased with them. I had to lean on them very hard, and still never broke grip once or got even a tyre squeal! I think the compound is quite hard when cold, but once they warm up, I'd race on these any day! Absolute bargain, and while prices are low, I may get a spare set.

I bought the Nitto Invo 305's on the rear. Great tires. Very sticky. Amazingly, the car still break loose when passing at 45 mph - but that's not the tires fault.
