Well she removed the fuse, number 9, labeled alarm. This seems to have temporarily solved the problem. It does however affect the TPMS indicator light and the trunk lock. But at least the siren is not going off every 5 minutes. Thanks for all the help. I will post more in a month when I am back with the car and figure out a permanent solution.
Also any recommendations on a new battery, I think I am going to replace it, as it is still the original.
